Domiciliary Care is a service provided by the local Council that allows people to remain in their home during later life, whilst still receive assistance with their personal care needs. Brightstar plus provide healthcare services to people in living their own home. They will be visited by Care Workers who will help with a variety of tasks and chores, such as (but not limited to):
• Helping to get into and out of bed each morning and evening
• Meal preparation
• Ensuring that medicines are taken, at the correct time (medication can only be given to patients, as part of an agreed care plan)
• Assistance with bathing and getting dressed
• Help doing the shopping
Being able to stay in your own home gives you the confidence to remain independent in your life, whilst maintaining a sense of dignity. It also means that you do not need to sell the family home, or even have to leave it.
